  Binod Toshniwal
   President and Director

Binod is the company founder and an angel investor, and brings decades of entrepreneurial experience to steer the company in the right direction. He has successfully built and run several businesses in the past.

Apart from turning ideas into full-scale businesses, he enjoys traveling and is an avid reader.

 


  Ashish Toshniwal
   CEO

Ashish sets the strategic direction of the company. In a little over two years the company has grown very rapidly, even during very challenging economic times. He is responsible for acquiring major clients including Safeway, Footlocker, Stanford University, and many others. Ashish also maintains the company's key strategic relationship with Apple. Before Y Media Labs, Ashish held key positions at Dell, shopping.com (acquired by eBay), and Like.com (acquired by Google) where he closed deals and forged relationships with Fortune 500 companies and top Internet retailers. Ashish holds a B.S in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.



  Sumit Mehra
   Chief Software Architect

Sumit leads and guides the engineering teams at Y Media Labs. He is usually seen around the cubicles talking to engineers about how to build and scale mobile solutions with the latest and greatest in cloud infrastructure. He is extremely passionate about mobile and related technologies..

He has held prominent engineering roles at Dell, Google, Yahoo! and Hubpages. Sumit holds an undergraduate degree from Purdue University and a graduate degree from Stanford University.


  Vivek Rajanna
   Associate VP Engineering

Vivek is deeply passionate about the human aspects of communication. For over twelve years working at Nokia, Symbian and Huawei in senior architect roles, his work has touched the life of millions around the globe.

Vivek is excited about the prospects of social networks and how they will impact society. He loves tinkering with UX and fundamentally changing the way we communicate and do business. Vivek believes UX and affordable forms of communication will help us bridge the digital divide.


  Nick Mykola
   Visual Art Director

Nick has been designing interfaces for over fifteen years. His greatest strength lies in designing simple user interfaces to complex applications. He also likes calligraphy and is a master of illustrations at Y Media Labs. Color combinations and simplicity are very important to him in any work he does.

Nick holds a Masters degree in Architecture and a Bachelor's in Fine Arts.



  Cameron Smith
   Creative Director

Cameron has over twelve years design experience, including leading the design initiatives for many high profile clients including Scion, Harley Davidson, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Budweiser, SC Johnson, Lucas Arts, Behr and more.

Since the launch of the first iPhone, Cameron has focused on designing high impact and engaging interactive experiences in the mobile space with a creative vision and style that deliver world class results to every engagement.


  Kanwal Kapoor
   Lead Engineer

Kanwal's greatest strength is his ability to resolve difficult engineering problems without breaking a sweat. He's extremely analytical and sharp-minded, and as the lead engineer he makes active contributions to some of our most complex projects. Kanwal also plays an active role in mentoring our new engineers and new research and development efforts.

Kanwal graduated with a computer science degree from Georgia Tech University. He enjoys working on the latest technologies and is a gadget aficionado.


  Ryan Spencer
   UI/ UX Lead

Ryan is the go-to user interface guy at Y Media Labs. He leads the brainstorming session with our clients along with a plain #2 pencil. He works on conceptualizing original ideas and transforming them into beautiful and elegant application wireframes and designs.

Ryan holds a BS degree in Web Design and Interactive Media, and his expertise includes a wide variety of areas, from front-end programming to illustration, sound design, and motion graphics.

You can usually spot him around the office with a Boston Red Sox hat and an African musical instrument called the kalimba.


  Lee Roberson
   Director of Sales

Lee Roberson is Director of Sales at Y Media Labs. Previously Lee was Director of Sales at WebOrder, an early e-commerce pioneer acquired by Motorola; Director of Sales at Career Workstation, a startup in the recruitment industry; VP of Sales and Business Development at CKR Interactive, a global interactive advertising agency; and had his own firm providing online video and mobile marketing solutions.

Lee has a BS in Business Administration/Marketing from California State University, Sacramento. Lee is the owner of the world's greatest rescue dog, and in his spare time Lee enjoys classic cars and finding new ways to use his iPhone.
